Parent Coaching

1:1 ABA Therapy and Parent Coaching

At Active Behavior Associates, LLC we work together with parents and caregivers to support your child's development across the lifespan. We take a team approach to ensure the best possible outcomes. If your child is receiving 1:1 ABA services, your BCBA will provide 1:1 parent coaching as well so that you may continue to support your child's goals even after therapy is complete.

During parent coaching you will learn teaching strategies that are identified during 1:1 ABA therapy to be effective at helping your child learn. If your child is displaying challenging behaviors, parent coaching will also focus on teaching you strategies for how to respond to challenging behaviors and how to help your child cope.

Parenting is HARD. We can help.

Are you struggling with knowing how to respond to your child's behavior? Do you find yourself worrying about whether or not you are doing the right thing to help your child grow into the adult you know they can be? These days, there is no shortage of information out there about how parents SHOULD be raising their children. There is always a new and 'BETTER' trend on social media promising to make parenting a breeze and your child the most well-rounded, confident, easy-going child in the world who will master life and be good at everything. Parents are drowning in advice, some good, some not so good, but a common theme includes offering a TON of 'easy steps' to win parenting. However, most of the time the advice may seem easy, but often isn't. Changing our behavior is just as hard as changing our children's behavior. Life is busy. Routines and schedules are complicated and are usually hard to create or maintain. Most of us have too much on our plate to be everything, everywhere, all the time. Often times, parents are raising more than one child and each child's needs are sometimes different and even conflicting with the other's needs. Many parents we talk to feel defeated, depleted or like they are failing. We at Active Behavior Associates, LLC can help you identify parenting strategies that work for your child, your family, your schedule, and YOU. Contact us and let us know how we can help you and your family in a way you feel is helpful and doable.
